The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes that permit “one-pedal driving” simply by lifting off the accelerator. The EV9 has a wide range and can be recharged within three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation: eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode prioritizes the cruise control and torque, while the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide a unique experience for those who haven't experienced driving an electric vehicle before. GreenPower offers several other eVehicles, including a multipurpose all-electric minibus dubbed the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool, or a paratransit vehicle. GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand.
